Hey Liron,
Welcome to planDisney! How exciting - you and your family are planning a spring trip to Walt Disney World Resort! While I love visiting the magic at any time of year, My kids and I really do love a springtime Disney visit. Now, let’s get a plan together for your trip. On a 2-3 day trip, you’ll need to prioritize your most desired parks. I'd recommend one park per day. While park hopping is fun, it can take a chunk of time from your day and can be overwhelming for first-timers.
On day one, I’d start with
Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It’s Disney’s largest theme park thanks to the size of
Kilimanjaro Safaris which is a must-do for my family every time we visit. During one of our visits we caught a lion belting out a mighty roar and we will never forget it! If your kids are all taller than 44” they’ll be able to ride all the attractions here including Avatar Flight of Passage and Expedition Everest. If they love characters, they’ll enjoy breakfast at Tusker House Restaurant where they’ll meet my favorite character, Donald Duck and his pals in their cute safari outfits. Tusker House is an African-inspired buffet, but they also feature breakfast classics like eggs, bacon potatoes and sausage. Before your day there ends, be certain to see the amazing show Festival of The Lion King - it truly is a masterpiece and is one of our favorite shows on property.
On day two, I’d visit
Disney’s Hollywood Studios. There are a ton of exciting attractions and shows that will entertain your family all day long from the immersive Galaxy’s Edge to the brand new show Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After. Be sure to end your day with
Fantasmic!, a spectacular nighttime show featuring Mickey Mouse. Food options are most plentiful in this park during the day and early evening, so be sure to feed your crew early. A few good options for families include Sci-Fi Dine-In Theater Restaurant or seasonal dining at Hollywood & Vine which will feature Minnie’s Springtime Dine during your visit.
On day three, I’d visit
Magic Kingdom Park. Magic Kingdom has the most attractions; my most favorite are probably in Fantasyland because of the nostalgia from my own childhood, but as first-timers, your kids will definitely fall in love with attractions like Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, Space Mountain, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and TRON Lightcycle / Run. Magic Kingdom has so many beloved attractions that it makes for the best park to close your trip with, not to mention it has some pretty amazing nighttime entertainment like the brand new
Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away parade and the Happily Ever After fireworks show. Magic Kingdom is also home to some pretty amazing snacks like the tasty Cheeseburger Spring Rolls just outside of the Adventureland entrance and restaurants with something for everyone like Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Café.
Most of all, Liron - have fun. I hope these ideas help you plan your special trip. I still remember taking my kids to the magic of Disney World for their first times. It truly creates special memories that will last a lifetime. If you need any additional help, come on back! We'd love to help. We’ll see ya real soon!
Magically yours,
Sakinah
