Hi Grace,
Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. My family often visits
Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort on our arrival day, and watching Magic Kingdom Park’s fireworks from the beach there is so magical!
You are certainly welcome to bring a picnic meal with you, Grace. We always order my very favorite treat – the iconic
Dole Whip! – to eat on the beach during the fireworks, and I will say that I always get a little sand in my dessert (but I just pretend it’s pixie dust). A blanket is a great idea to help prevent the sand from getting everywhere, and to make your family date even cozier. I’m getting happy Disney feels just thinking about it.
This can be a very popular spot to watch
fireworks, and I would advise you to arrive early enough to stake out a good spot on the beach, and maybe bring some beach toys to help pass the time. I know my kids could play for hours on the Walt Disney World beaches, and I find it so relaxing to enjoy the view of the Seven Seas Lagoon while sipping a drink (might I recommend visiting
Tambu Lounge for to-go tropical cocktail?) and enjoying some laid-back family time. Enjoy every minute!
Wishing you a magical family date night,
Robyn
