I’m planning on taking my daughter to a park for her first birthday what park would be best to take her to. She loves watching Disney loves animals and bright colors

Hi Tasha and welcome to planDisney!

Walt Disney World is such a special place to celebrate a first birthday!  Your daughter is going to have an amazing time with Mickey Mouse and friends!

In my opinion, Magic Kingdom Park is the best Walt Disney World theme park to take the little ones since it has the most attractions that have no minimum height requirement.  There is so much to see and do there for the youngest of visitors.  You can filter the attractions list on the website to show you all of the attractions that Guests of any height can ride, so they're perfect for your daughter's first birthday trip.  The Mad Tea Party is bright and visually stimulating, so I think your daughter would really enjoy going for a spin.  Dumbo the Flying Elephant is always a popular attraction for toddlers as well.  Something special we did for both of my children on their first birthday was getting their first haircuts at Harmony Barber Shop in Magic Kingdom.  The "My First Haircut" package includes commemorative Mickey ears and a certificate.  I just love those special memories that we made on their first birthdays.

If you think your daughter will be less interested in attractions and more interested in seeing animals, Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park is the park for you!  My kids love taking the Wildlife Express Train to Rafiki’s Planet Watch where you can learn about how the animals are cared for and pet a few friendly animals in the Affection Section.  She will love Kilimanjaro Safaris to get the best view of the beautiful savanna.  My favorite time to ride is early in the morning or right at sunset.  The Boneyard is a great place for kids to get out some energy and stretch their legs.  Your daughter can explore the caves, go down the slides and even look for fossils in the dig site.

Since it sounds like you're in the beginning stages of planning, check out the Planning for Preschool Kids & Little Ones page of the Walt Disney World website.  There is a plethora of information to help you plan your upcoming trip including recommendations on the best Disney Resort hotels, attractions, shows and Disney dining.

Please stop back by and visit if you have any additional vacation planning questions.

    Have a magical day!
