I'm planning a surprise anniversary trip for my husband. This will be our first trip w/o the kids. Best moderate place to stay we usually do value resort. Best restaurants we usually do quick service with 3 picky boys. Please help would love to wow him

    Hi Melissa,

Thank you for visiting the Disney Parks Moms Panel with your question. How wonderful to be able to take an adults-only trip to Walt Disney World! I think that you will find that if you love Walt Disney World with your children, you will also love it as adults.

My choice for a romantic moderate resort hotel is Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. This charming resort has walkways reminiscent of the French Quarter in New Orleans. You can even take a horse-drawn carriage ride along the Sassagoula River.

For restaurants, check out the possibilities of fine and signature dining. There are options for every taste; let me share some of my favorites with you. I enjoy Jiko - The Cooking Place at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. This lovely restaurant offers delicious fare with exotic flavors, as well as an extensive South African wine list. I also find the ambiance at Narcoossee's to be romantic, with many tables along the windows looking over the water. Narcoossee's is located at Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, which I find to have an overall romantic atmosphere. For a truly spectacular view, consider California Grill. Located atop Disney's Contemporary Resort, this restaurant offers delicious California cuisine and a spectacular view.

Congratulations on your anniversary, Melissa. Please let us know if you have any further questions!
