Hello, I'm planning a split stay between two WDW resorts. Is it still possible at this time to have bell services transfer luggage between resorts? Is there a fee to do this? Thank you!

Hiya Cynthia! Thanks for dropping by planDisney with your excellent question.

Can you believe that your Walt Disney World Resort vacation is finally here!? Well, maybe just a few days left, but you're almost there! You must be so excited to kick off your vacation and jump into the fun! Now, let's get your question answered so you can get back to packing! Don’t forget to back those Mickey Ears!

Enjoying a split stay is SUCH a fabulous idea, Cynthia! In fact, I just booked one myself for early 2023! I’ll be staying at both The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort and Disney's Polynesian Village Resort, and I just cannot wait! I mean, where else in the world can you enjoy the majestic beauty of the American frontier and the tropical ambiance of the South Pacific all in one vacation?!

I have great news for you, Cynthia! The Walt Disney World Resort team makes moving over to your second resort an absolute breeze, as they still offer the luggage transfer service for Guests enjoying a split stay. And the best part is, it’s completely complimentary! All you'll need to do is bring your belongings down to Bell Services by 11 a.m. on the day you check out of your first resort. Let them know that you will be moving to another Disney Resorts Collection hotel, and they will give you a claim ticket. Then, you can head off to the parks to enjoy your day, and your bags will be waiting for you at the Bell Services desk of your second resort later that same day! Pretty magical, right?

However, one important thing to note is that the Bell Services team will not be able to move any perishable items between resorts. So, if you've ordered any food or snacks to your room, you would need to bring that over yourself. In this case, I recommend using a ride-share service, like Lyft or the adorable Disney Minnie Van Service, to move your stuff over. Most resorts are around 15 minutes apart, so it won’t take up too much of your day!

I do hope this answer has been helpful to you! You are visiting during such a wonderful time with so much to do and see at Walt Disney World! So, please visit us again soon if you have any questions or want to hear some of our recommendations. We would love to help make your vacation as magical as possible!

    See you real soon!
