Hello, I'm planning my sons 5th birthday at Disney world FL for May 2018 & I was wondering what can i do/pay for that extra touch of disney magic! Even though he's still young i want it to be memorable for my family 3. Help!

    Hi Stephanie,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We love celebrating birthdays at the Walt Disney World Resort! Having consulted with Mickey and Minnie Mouse, I have a few ideas.

Although there are a number of Enchanting Extras you could consider for the special day, here are some I would recommend:

    • Make a dining reservation at a character meal. Chef Mickey's and The Crystal Palace are two of our favorites. Then, order a Mickey Mouse Celebration Cake from the Cakes at Walt Disney World Resort. The cake can be delivered to a number of participating restaurants.
    • Have a special birthday surprise delivered from Disney Floral & Gifts. My girls have adored their princess balloons and the snack packages.
    • Join the Rebellion and take your young recruit to Jedi Training - Trials of the Temple. This experience demands the ultimate bravery. You know best if the Force is strong with your son.
    • If your son prefers the pirate life, try the Pirates and Pals Fireworks Dessert Voyage. The adventure awaits. Ahoy Matey!

Stephanie, of course, magic does not require money. Being together is the best gift of all. If none of the above is an option, I would just stake out a spot for the Happily Ever After Fireworks Show about an hour and a half in advance. On our last visit, we managed to get right up front near one of the bridges to Cinderella Castle. Our view was perfect!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
