Jambo, Kelsey!
Welcome to
planDisney! Thanks for stopping by as you prepare for your African-inspired adventure at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge. I can't wait for you to experience this unique resort. Let's talk about how your husband can join the fun!
Kelsey, since you'll be solo, adding one more adult to your resort reservation will not incur extra fees, nor will it exceed the room's capacity. Upon check-in, consider asking a front desk Cast Member to add your husband to the final night of your stay. This way, he'll have easier access to the resort parking lot and gated amenities like swimming pools. Also, if he arrives before checkout time, he can unlock the door to your room with a
MagicBand,
mobile device, or key card. Having him as your day guest should also be fine, but there is no harm in putting him on the reservation.
I hope this is helpful and that you have an incredible vacation with and without your travel partner! Exploring the theme parks solo can be incredibly fun. I take my time and enjoy the atmosphere more than when I'm running around with my family. My best tip for this type of visit is to bring a portable cell phone charger to the theme parks. I typically spend more time on my mobile device when I'm alone to keep my family informed about my activities and to stop for scenery photos. Bonus: use your phone to place a
mobile order for zebra domes from
The Mara when you're heading "home" from the theme parks!
Thanks so much for contacting planDisney, Kelsey! Please don't hesitate to reach out again for assistance with this or future Disney getaways. We're all ears, and we love to help our fellow Guests!
See ya real soon,
Betsy
