I'm planning on running the wine & dine half mar but I also want to make it a first visit for my 3 year old. Is my family aloud to wait with me in the runners village before the race? if not, can they wait at the finish line and then go 2gether to the

    Hi, Amapola!

Congratulations on your decision to participate in the 2014 Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon. This nighttime race event is the perfect runners' night out, and with 2014 being the 5th anniversary, it's sure to be a great experience.

Your family is more than welcome to join you in the Start Zone area prior to the race. In fact, if you are staying at a host hotel, they may even take the provided race transportation with you. Once you head to your corral, your family may head to the finish-line and wait for you while you complete the race.

Family, friends and spectators are also invited to attend the Finish Line Party with the advanced purchase of the special event ticket, your ticket to the Finish-Line Party is included in the registration.

I also wanted to mention your little one could get in on the running action by participating in the runDisney Kids' Races that will also be offered during this fun weekend. The three year old category race is a 100 meter dash complete with a finishers medallion. It's so cute to see the pride on their faces with a medal to sport around the theme parks.

I hope this information is helpful, Amapola! Please do not hesitate to ask any additional questions you may have as you plan and prepare for the Disney Wine & Dine Half Marathon Weekend.

    Cheers!
