I´m planning to run the Princess Half Marathon next year I have a 3 year old and I´m pregnant so for February 2015 my baby will be 5-6 months. What do you recommend leave my mom and kids at the hotel while I´m running or take them with me to

    Hi, Ana!

Congratulations on your decision to participate in the 2015 Disney Princess Half Marathon. This royal weekend is the perfect way to bring out your inner princess and celebrate motherhood.

Having traveled to several runDisney events with my own three children, I understand the race-morning logistics that need worked out. My recommendation is to have your mother stay at your resort with your children as you will need to leave your room by 3:30am to allow for an anxiety-free journey to the Start Zone. If you plan to stay at a Walt Disney World® Resort host hotel for this race, transportation will be provided to all race events--this means your mother and children may also take race transportation later in the morning and meet you near the finish line in the Family Reunion Area, allowing your family the opportunity to celebrate your magical moment with you.

You can also let your little princess in on the race action by registering her for the runDisney Kids' Races. The one to three year old participants compete in a 100 meter dash complete with their very own finishers medallion--you can even run along with her. She'll be so proud to have a medal just like mommy.

The last thing I would like to suggest is to sign up for runDisney Email Notification. This is a free service that will keep you up to date on registration information and race details. With runDisney race events selling out in record time, I wouldn't want you to miss out when registration becomes available in July.

I hope this information is helpful, Ana! Please do not hesitate to ask any additional questions you may have as you plan and prepare for the Disney Princess Half Marathon.

    Happy Planning!

    Faith
