    I'm planning to run the Goofy (Half plus Full marathon January 2013. What are the host hotels? Also, any "ball-park" numbers on cost of hotels/packages? Do we book directly thru Disney? Is there late checkout for runners?

    Hi Annabel!  Congratulations for taking on the Goofy Challenge!  That is an awesome achievement!

    For marathon weekend, ALL of the Disney Resorts are host resorts and will have bus transportation to and from all race weekend events. 

    You can find more travel information on the new runDisney website.  The price will vary greatly depending on which resort you choose.  There are 3 levels of resort prices, Value, Moderate, and Deluxe.  I suggest you call 407-WDW-IRUN, and they can give you quotes for all three.  That will be the number you call to book your resort for that weekend.

    You will have to ask your front desk about a late check out time.  There have been two races that I wasn't spending the night after, and they were very kind to work with me and let me check out at noon instead of 11.  It gave me enough time to shower and dress before heading out.
