Hi!, I'm planning to make a proposal next year at magic kingdom, and I just wanted to know if it is posible to get some assistance from park characters, ej. Beast in the middle of dinner at be our guest. Thank you so much

Hiya, Carlos! Welcome to planDisney! Let me be the first to congratulate you and your Belle on your upcoming engagement! The Walt Disney World Resort is the Most Magical Place on Earth. I can only imagine how much more magical your visit will be knowing that you will be popping the question at the Magic Kingdom. How exciting!

To start planning the perfect proposal, I suggest contacting Disney Meetings & Events by submitting a request to see how they can help or what suggestions they may have. They specialize in creating unforgettable moments and would be the perfect starting point for setting plans in the sword's stone. If you can’t agree on the ideal way to propose through their offerings, you could make your reservation and ask to add a note to your reservation. To keep plans Top Secret, you should swing like Tarzan by the host/hostess stand before your reservation to speak to a Cast Member about your plans/intentions and see if they can help. The perfect guise would be to tell your soon-to-be fiancé that you need to use the restroom near Gaston’s Tavern and suggest she hop in line for a Warm Cinnamon Roll while waiting. Scoot over to the host/hostess stand to ensure the note on your reservation was reflected and see if the manager could accommodate. If the coordination is too much, you could always add a specialty cake to your dinner with the proposal written on the cake for dessert!

While Disney’s Fairytale Weddings & Honeymoons used to offer proposal services, they are currently unavailable, so they suggest adding an Enchanting Extra to assist with your proposal! Booking a Capture Your Moment photography session or popping the question during a Happily Ever After Fireworks Dessert Party could be great alternatives.

I recently answered another Guest’s question asking for proposal assistance. I suggested making or changing your Disney Resorts Collection hotel reservation to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, or Disney’s Contemporary Resort. All three resorts offer views and the music of the Happily Ever After fireworks but without the crowds of the Magic Kingdom. Disney movie quality proposal locations at these resorts include places like the dock outside of Narcoossee’s at the Grand Floridian, on the beach of the Polynesian, or the fourth-floor balcony of the Contemporary.

Carlos, no matter what you decide to do for your proposal, I do not doubt that it will be perfect and that your fiancé will appreciate all of the thought and effort you put into making it magical! If you need any other suggestions, please ask me directly or submit another question to us here at planDisney!

Cheers to many incredible married years,
    Brent
