Hi Vicki! I got my first coast-to-coast medal this year! It was very exciting and is now my favorite medal!
Bus transportation is for runners and spectators. Keep in mind that you
will have to be there really early. The buses continue to run
throughout the morning if your husband and son would like to sleep a
little longer and then meet you later at the race. They will not be
able to go to the actual starting line. The start line is a good little
walk from where they would leave you. It might be easier for them to
plan on seeing you run through Magic Kingdom around Mile 6. They can
take the bus transportation to the Epcot parking lot and then use the
monorails to get to Magic Kingdom--- theme park tickets are NOT required
for their entrance. You may also want to check out the chEAR squad
packages that will be offered for race day. To find out more, go to
this year's
Princess Half Marathon website and click on "spectator
resources". Depending on what package you go with, you can get priority
seating at the castle and at the finish line. The platinum package
also offers use of the Race Retreat tent while they wait for you to get
to the finish. There is food, drinks, sofas, televisions, characters,
bathrooms and much more in the tent. It is a great way for them to
relax while you are racing.
I hope this helps! Let me know if you have any more questions on your quest for the coast-to-coast! Good Luck!
