Hello Joshua, welcome back to planDisney!
I think purchasing the Park Hopper Option is a great decision, in fact, I always select this option myself when my family visits the
Walt Disney World Resort, as we like the flexibility to bounce between our favorite parks based on crowds, shows, and dining options.
Theme Park Tickets are considered to be date-based, meaning that you need to choose a day to visit the parks, or if you buy a multiple-day ticket, you will have a date range for when those tickets can be used.
In your case, on the
Theme Park Ticket page, if you select five (5) for the number of days you would like to visit, the calendar below will update to show a window of time you can use those five (5) days. You will want to ensure that you have selected a starting date that coincides with your arrival. For example, say you are arriving on a Sunday afternoon. You would select the date of your arrival and the calendar will show, in light blue, the days that you will be able to use your theme park admission. In this example, your window would be from Sunday to Sunday, or eight (8) days, to visit five (5) times. Your visits do not have to be consecutive days. Disney allows this window to account for people’s travel to/from the Walt Disney World Resort and gives some flexibility. My wife and I enjoy that the days do not have to be consecutive, we love the ability to have a relaxing day at our
Disney Resorts Collection hotel pool after staying up late the night before watching Happily Ever After.
Once you have decided on the number of days you would like to visit, and the starting date of your visit, you will then select which type of ticket you are purchasing. Your options are 1 Park Per Day, Water Park and Sports Option, Park Hopper Option, and Park Hopper Plus Option. Since you stated you want to buy the Park Hopper Option, you would select that and then continue to your payment. This means that your entire theme park admission ticket has the Park Hopper Option, allowing you to visit multiple theme parks each day of your five-day theme park visit.
I hope this information helps you, Joshua. If you have any additional Disney vacation planning questions, please come back to

Have an awesome trip!
