Hi Taylor! Welcome to planDisney!
Oh boy! I'm excited about your upcoming visit to Walt Disney World. December is a great time to visit, especially with all the
holiday festivities that are taking place. I recommend taking a tour of the
Disney Resorts Hotels during your stay to check out the holiday décor that is on showcase in many of the lobbies at the resorts. Disney's Wilderness Lodge has an enormous Christmas tree that must be seen in person to truly appreciate it. Disney's Grand Floridian Resort & Spa will typically have a life-size gingerbread house display set up in the main lobby. If Christmas is your jam, I highly recommend taking a ride on the monorail to visit Disney's Grand Floridian!
I love the flexibility that the
Park Hopper Option allows you to have during your vacation! Being able to hop over to EPCOT for dinner and to watch the nighttime spectacular is a great perk. While this information is correct on the website, you will still be able to make a dining reservation when your booking window opens up. However, you will not be able to use it unless you have a valid theme park ticket and
park reservation to the first park you visit on this day. For your park day, you will need to enter Disney's Hollywood Studios for the first part of the day until you will be allowed to hop over to EPCOT starting at 2 PM. Since you plan to make a dinner reservation, the time frame will work out perfectly for you. Without the ticket and reservation, you would not be able to utilize your dinner reservation on this day. So, although you are not restricted to make the reservation, you will need all of the above to be able to enjoy it!
Speaking of dinner and a show, there are two popular locations that offer an amazing package. Spice Road Table in the Morocco Pavilion and Rose & Crown in the United Kingdom Pavilion offer wildly different cuisine options but each has
stunning views of Harmonious. Depending on which menu works best for your family, you won't go wrong with either choice.
Taylor, this sounds like an epic day you are planning at Walt Disney World. Starting your day at Disney's Hollywood Studios exploring
Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge and Toy Story Land is the perfect start to the day! Then to cap off the night with a delicious dinner and an unmatched view of the firework show is the best way to close out a Disney day! Remember, when you are park hopping between these two parks, you'll be able to take the
Disney Skyliner to do so!
I hope you have a magical vacation, Taylor! See ya real soon!
