Hi Stephanie,
Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. How exciting that you are planning a Walt Disney World vacation with your niece. I've had some incredible vacations that included spending special Disney time with my niece and nephew. My 26-year-old nephew still talks about the day he and I rode the
Mad Tea Party over and over when he was 8.
Now that they are grown and out on their own, those times together are especially precious memories.
Because your niece is younger than 18, she shouldn't need a drivers license for identification for boarding a flight or spending time with you at the parks and resorts. My daughters didn't get drivers licenses before they turned 18, and it was never an issue. They always carried their school IDs or their passports, just in case, but I don't recall a time when they ever had to use them.
When you make your reservations and buy your tickets, you can set up a
My Disney Experience account for your niece and link it to your Family & Friends list so that you can manage her experiences, such as dining and
Disney Park Pass reservations. And, if you are staying in a Walt Disney World resort, she can use her
MagicBand to gain entry to your room and, if you allow, to charge purchases to your resort.
I hope that eases your concern, Stephanie. Please let us know if we can help with any other questions or offer suggestions for activities during your vacation. Wishing you a magical time together!
Wilma
