I'm planning a last min spring break trip with a 5 yo and 1 yo. Do all hotels provide a crib if requested? Also need mini fridge for baby bottles. How do we get from airport to property without renting a car or bringing our own carseats? Thx!

    Hiya Amy,

Welcome to planDisney! What a magical trip for your little Mouseketeers! I just recently completed a last-minute trip with my seven-month-old, and I completely understand all of the logistics of a trip like that. I am happy to be of service and to help you prepare for your magical vacation.

First things first, Amy, yes, Guests of Walt Disney World Resort Collection Hotels can request a complimentary crib or playard for their room. The quantities are limited, but in my experience, I’ve always been able to get one if I needed one. I highly recommend speaking to a Cast Member with the Disney Resort Hotel Reservation line as soon as possible. They would be able to notate your request for a crib or playard for your little one before you arrive instead of you having to wait until check-in. While it is still first come, first serve, I have found it advantageous to make those requests early.

Now on to your next question about mini fridges! I was talking to my Flynn Rider, and we can’t recall staying at a resort hotel and not having a mini-fridge already in our room. Most of the resort hotels have an in-room refrigerator or cooler, but if yours does not, you can call housekeeping when you arrive and request a mini-fridge for your room. Just like cribs, they are subject to availability, so I would suggest asking as soon as you check in if you will need to request one. Now your last question is one that I’ve spent a lot of time thinking about. When you are traveling with car seats, luggage, baby bottles, etc., it can get exhausting. Luckily some alternative methods of travel will get you from Orlando International Airport to your resort hotel without needing to travel with additional luggage. Both Mears Connect and Sunshine Flyer would be your best bet for getting to your resort hotel! Neither requires car seats for your little ones, which will save you from having to bring your own. Then once you get to Walt Disney World Resort, you can use the complimentary transportation around the resort to get around.

I hope this was helpful, Amy. Before I let you go, I would love to share with you my favorite way to get around Walt Disney World Resort with a little one. The Disney Minnie Van Service is fantastic for getting around, in my experience. While it operates out of the Lyft app, it is driven by Walt Disney World Resort Cast Members. They know the property like the back of their hand and can get you to and from more efficiently. They are also the only transportation method that can take you from one resort hotel to another. I also love that they have two car seats in the vehicles they are trained to install and can fit any little Mouseketeer. Plus, they play Disney cartoons in their cars which is a blast for little ones. It really is my favorite way to travel.

Happy Planning, and Please come back and see us if you need anything else,
