Hi Bryson,
Welcome to planDisney! First let me say what a wonderful way to start your new life together!
My husband and I honeymooned at the Walt Disney World Resort over 20 years ago. To this day, we cherish so many priceless memories from that trip. We stayed at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter. So, I applaud your decision. Now, let's think about dates. Although June might be a bit hotter, you would most likely avoid hurricane season. Weigh your options carefully.
As you consider your dates, I also suggest that you review
Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings and Honeymoons. Check out the
Dream Space possibilities and talk with a wedding and honeymoon professional to help you decide how to honor your unique love story. I also understand the importance of a honeymoon budget. We actually wound up honeymooning at the Walt Disney World Resort because it was more affordable than our Caribbean options at the time.
So, if you are on a budget and would prefer to forego more expensive enhancements, you can totally do what my husband did and just book your own
vacation package. You should be able to price out the June dates now. Select a resort hotel and number of theme park ticket days. As you review the
Disney Resorts Collection options, consider the amenities you would prefer. There are standard rooms, suites, and villas, so be sure to review the room categories at each resort hotel. Concierge level rooms might be a possibility for you. Keep your eye on the
resort hotel updates to make sure that the concierge level room category and club level lounges will be available at the time of your visit.
As you continue to make plans, also take a look at
Disney Floral & Gifts. Talk with a Dream Maker to create some magic for your visit. I would also suggest that you invest in Memory Maker. It would give you access to all of your digital photos. And, consider a
Capture Your Moment - Magic Kingdom portrait session. Although my family has not done one of these sessions, the photos I have seen from them have been stunning! I am also a big believer in purchasing a few small gifts before the trip, so each day, you could share a sweet surprise.
Bryson, the good news is that you are planning in advance, so you have a little time. Keep doing your research and confirm the date. From there, you can start comparing vacation package prices!
Magic and memories,
Donyell
