Hello Regina, and welcome to
planDisney!
I like the way you think! I am always looking to maximize my time in the Walt Disney World theme parks, and I frequently go from the airport to a theme park, only pausing briefly at my Resort Hotel to leave my luggage with Bell Services.
While I don't see any issues with your plan logistically (suitcases aren't specifically on the
theme parks' prohibited items list) you'll want to make sure that your carry-on items adhere to size requirements for both
locker rentals and entry into the
Magic Kingdom Park. Suitcases larger than 24" long x 15" wide x 18" high are not allowed in the theme parks, and the jumbo lockers are 17" x 22" x 26" in size.
If you're worried about your items meeting these requirements, but still want to bypass your offsite accommodations, another option for quick access to the Magic Kingdom Park is a one-way car rental from Orlando International Airport to the
Walt Disney World Car Care Center. Store your belongings in the car, and after enjoying your time at the Magic Kingdom Park, return your rental to the nearby Car Care Center location, and request a rideshare or taxi to your offsite hotel. Some rental car companies at Orlando International Airport now offer contact-free rental car pickup, so you'll be on your way in no time after touching down. My son and I rented from Alamo last spring, and we pulled into
Disney's Pop Century Resort less than 45 minutes after landing in Orlando.
Best wishes for a speedy arrival to Magic Kingdom Park on your visit, Regina! Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question, and have a magical day.
