I'm planning a guys trip to Galaxy's Edge for my friend's 50th birthday. To save money, 3 of us are planning on sharing a room at Pop Century, but we don't want to share beds. Is there enough floor space for someone to use an air mattress?

    Hi Josh!

Happy 50th birthday to your friend! Milestone birthdays are truly the best at Walt Disney World Resort and celebrating at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios sounds like an amazing idea. There are so many ways to make the trip extra special, like a dinner at Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera, where you can enjoy incredible dishes like handmade pasta, fresh seafood, and their famous ricotta. The restaurant also has stunning views of the nighttime fireworks! Another great option is attending a fireworks dessert party, which includes reserved viewing spots and delicious treats to cap off a memorable day.

Be sure to stop by the front desk or any Guest Services location in the theme parks to pick up a birthday button for your friend. Wearing one throughout the trip can lead to some fun surprises and extra pixie dust!

Now, about the room setup. I absolutely love Disney’s Pop Century Resort—it's such a fun, vibrant place! However, the rooms are a bit on the smaller side, especially if you're thinking of squeezing in an air mattress. While you might be able to fit a twin-size air mattress in there, it’s not recommended. It would make the space quite tight, and blocking any doorways for safety reasons should be avoided.

There are some other Disney Resorts Collection hotel options that might fit your party size better.  I’d recommend  Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, where some rooms come with a fifth sleeper bed. Alternatively, Disney’s Art of Animation Resort offers family suites, which include separate sleeping spaces and extra room to spread out. Both of these resorts will give you direct access to the Disney Skyliner, so you’ll still have the same convenient access to the parks!

Don’t forget to keep an eye on any special offers or deals that could help reduce the cost of your stay. Wishing you and your friends the most magical celebration!
