Hiya Marta!
Welcome to planDisney!
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is a fun event and one of the few events where adults can wear costumes to the Parks. I am currently finishing up the final details on my party costume which is going to be more of a "Disneybound" rather than a full-on costume. I know the weather will be warm and I want to be comfortable but still in a fun look. I'm dressing up as one of the Dapper Dans and instead of long pants and a long-sleeved shirt I will be wearing short sleeves and shorts with the right colors and patterns that are trademark Dapper Dan. You better believe I will not forget the barbershop-brimmed hat!
Did you know that Princess Kida has appeared in Magic Kingdom Park as a character you could have met and chatted with? During her brief time in the Parks, she wore a long robe with sleeves and not her famous movie look. I do know that her regular look in the movie is a bit revealing with its strapless bra top and short skirt.
There are a few things in the Park rules regarding attire and costumes that I think could apply to this look.
- Disney reserves the right to deny admission to or remove any person wearing attire that is considered inappropriate or attire that could detract from the experience of other Guests.
- Clothing which, by nature, exposes excessive portions of the skin that may be viewed as inappropriate for a family environment.
There is a chance based on how much skin you expose you could have issues getting admitted to the party. Have you considered adapting the costume to be a Disneybound as I mentioned before? Maybe make the top a bit more of a crop top and combine it with a skirt? I think a good example is to look at how
Moana appears in the Parks as inspiration for how much skin to reveal. Princess Kida is used to living in water-rich environments and needs more of a swimsuit attire so her look is very much like a swimsuit. While that is fabulous poolside at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel it may not be acceptable in the Parks. In the end, it will be up to the judgment of Cast Members at the Park Entrance when you arrive.
I hope this helps and that you find a way to honor the lovely 8,000-plus-year-old princess/queen.
Happy Planning!
