I'm planning to go to Disneyworld in March with a group of 19, including me. Can I make dining reservations for others in my group if they are not on my Disney World account, or do they need to set up their own accounts and make their own reservations?

    Hello Francheska!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I’m happy to hear you are planning a visit with a large group! Those are always so much fun! Have you already planned a group t-shirt?

One of my favorite things to do at the Walt Disney World Resort is explore all the amazing dining options available at the theme parks, Disney Resort hotels, and Disney Springs. I am always the one in charge of booking dining when traveling with my family, so I can tell you that you can make reservations for your party and they do not need to be linked to you on My Disney Experience. When you arrive at your dining location they are not going to match who is on the reservation, they will go by party size, although I really like to link everyone to the reservation so that they can also follow along using the My Disney Experience mobile app. Sometimes people forget where they are supposed to dine or even the reservation time, especially when you visit with a large group and the it tends to split up. It can be very helpful if they also have a Disney account and your plans are shared, but again, that is not mandatory.

Moms Panel tip: did you know you can start making dining reservations up to 180 days in advance? Some restaurants are extremely popular so we highly recommend that you do so. You can book your favorite locations online, by calling (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463, or using the My Disney Experience mobile app.

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Francheska! I hope this helps you plan delicious dining adventures for your group.

    Best magical wishes,
