Hi! I’m planning to go to Disney in August and was hoping to have an opportunity to take a picture with Tinkerbell. She is my favorite character and Peter Pan is one of my favorite movies. Can you still get pixie dust on you?

    Hi Emily!

Welcome to planDisney!  Like Neverland, Walt Disney World Resort is truly a magical place where I feel like I never have to grow up.  I love interacting with characters, being immersed in my favorite stories from childhood, and enjoying classic entertainment all while embracing the kid inside!

Emily, unfortunately, Tinker Bell doesn't have a set meet-and-greet at this time, but that doesn't mean we can't think happy thoughts and hope that she is back meeting guests again in the future!  While you currently can't meet Tinker Bell, you can usually find her each day in the Festival of Fantasy Parade at Magic Kingdom Park.  She is typically on the back of the Peter Pan float and I've taken several great photos of her over the years from this spot.  You can check your My Disney Experience Mobile App for the parade time(s) while visiting.  In addition, I'd encourage you to look up towards the end of the Happily Ever After fireworks as Tinker Bell can often be found flying high above the park!

Another option involves a bit of photo magic.  Disney PhotoPass photographers often have Magic Shots available when they are taking your pictures around the park.  You can always ask if they have a Tinker Bell Magic Shot that they can add to your photo selection.  I've been lucky to get a few pictures where Tinker Bell has magically appeared in my hands!

Since you mentioned Peter Pan is one of your favorite movies, you won't want to miss Peter Pan's Flight - also at Magic Kingdom Park.  This classic attraction is very popular with guests and often can have long wait times.  I recommend either making this your first stop at park opening to try and get in front of the crowds or using Disney Genie+ and trying to grab a Lightning Lane entry time early on in your day.

I'm also happy to share that you can indeed still be "pixie-dusted" during your visit to Magic Kingdom Park at Sir Mickey's!  I was just there last week and stopped by to get a little sprinkle of pixie dust from one of the Cast Members.  It's such a cute experience for kids and adults - and it's complimentary!

Emily, I hope that with a bit of faith, trust, and pixie dust, all of your Walt Disney World Resort vacation wishes come true!  If you have any other vacation planning questions in the future, please stop by to see us again here at planDisney!

    Cheers,
    Kristi
