I'm planning to take my girls to Disneyland on Feb 26, for a surprise birthday for my 6 year old. Are lines still long due to the new attraction, before the park opens? If it opens at 9am what is the best time to arrive, and how long is the wait time

    Bright suns, Viviana!

Celebrating a birthday on Batuu sounds like an out-of-this-world surprise. Your girls will love it!

Honestly, the latest attraction to be added to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, is still incredibly popular. I would expect it to continue to be quite busy popular throughout the next few months, while the SoCal Resident Ticket offer is available. The nice thing is that it is so. worth. it. My family got the opportunity to experience this epic new experience last month. We were blown away. You and your girls will be too.

A mid-week visit should actually be a pretty good day to experience Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance. And it is probably for the best that Extra Magic Hour is scheduled for Disney California Adventure Park on Wednesdays. With the early morning lineups lately, I recommend that guests arrive at the Main Entrance area of the Disneyland Resort one hour before the regular park open time. The turnstiles open at various times. Some days they may open as early as about 40 or more minutes before park opening. If you are lined up about an hour before park opening, you should be able to enter Disneyland Park with plenty of time to enjoy Main Street, U.S.A. and to prepare for your time to join a Boarding Group.

Tony’s Tip: Arriving early before park opening gives you the opportunity to enjoy the excitement and energy together with other Disney Parks fans. Though it can sometimes try the patience of little Mouseketeers. To help pass the time, I recommend having some snacks and water on hand. It’s also a good idea to have a fun activity available. I recommend having the free Play Disney Parks app downloaded. It includes a number of activities such as games, trivia, and, on some devices, access to music to help pass the time while waiting in line. It also includes the exciting Star Wars: Datapad to use while visiting the Black Spire Outpost. Just in case, I also recommend taking a portable phone charging system to keep your mobile device fresh should it begin to run low later in the day.

Have a magical birthday visit, Viviana!
