I’m planning on getting an annual pass for my son and I, and I want to add on the photo pass. Do I have to have it on both passes, or can I add it to only my pass? He’s 3, so it’s not like he’s going to be doing anything without me.

    Hi Alaina,

Welcome to the Florida Resident Passholder family! You and your son are going to love having regular access to Walt Disney World for a few hours or a few days at a time, whenever it works into your schedule.

We have been passholders for almost 30 years, since our older daughter was about your son's age, so Walt Disney World is a huge part of all of our family's core memories. I expect it will soon be part of yours as well.

For some reason, I had never added the Disney PhotoPass Download option until this year. I'm so glad I did, and I can't imagine being without it again. We've gotten some priceless photos in the parks during visits with family and friends. And we used it to get a family photo at the Disney PhotoPass Studio at Disney Springs on Christmas Day.

You can easily add the PhotoPass option to your annual pass alone. That's what I did. My husband, like your son, is never in the parks without me, so it's no problem for us to share the single PhotoPass. I just make sure I tap my MagicBand or ticket when we have a photo taken.

If you buy your annual passes online, you will see a box to check to add the PhotoPass option to your ticket. As a Florida Resident Passholder, you also will be able to spread the cost of your passes over a 12-month period, interest-free after making a deposit. We love this option and have taken advantage of it for years.

Make sure you check out all the passholder benefits available to you once you become a Florida resident passholder -- the free parking at the theme parks, the dining and merchandise discounts, the special offers on resort stays and more.

Have a wonderful Disney year, Alaina, and please let us know if you have any other questions in the coming months.

    Enjoy every magical moment,

    Wilma
