Hiya Lecker,
Welcome to planDisney! Aww, I love that you are planning a gender reveal. Walt Disney World Resort has been a significant part of both of my pregnancies. I did my maternity photos in front of Cinderella Castle when I was pregnant with my daughter, and I used an embroidered Mickey ear hat from
Curtain Call Collectibles to reveal my newborn’s name last December. New babies are already a special kind of magic, so it just makes sense to celebrate them at the Most Magical Place on Earth!
So I did some digging in the official
Walt Disney World Resort Property Rules, and there is nothing that prohibits you from bringing in a small box with items (as long as they comply with the property rules) with a small balloon arrangement. I’ve seen individuals who are doing
Capture Your Moment photoshoots bring in props such as balloons before! There are two things to consider, though. First, Cast Members do reserve the right to prohibit items at their discretion. I think you will be okay, but I do want to prepare you just in case. Another thing is that Cast Members might ask you to do additional security screening on the box of items before you enter Magic Kingdom. If you are trying to keep the gender a secret, I would recommend making sure that whoever it is a secret from is out of view if your box needs additional screening to keep it a secret.
I hope this is helpful, Lecker. Before I let you go, I suggest renting a locker. You can store the items inside before and after you take photos, so you don't have to carry them with you for the rest of the time. Please come back and see us if you need anything else. I’m wishing you all of the best for the sweet Baby Mine.
Happy Planning,
Ashley F.
