I'm planning our first trip to Disney for Nov. 2012. I have two boys 12 and 14. Can you give me any suggestions on planning and making sure we get the most from our trip. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi Mildred!

Be sure to order the free Walt Disney World planning DVD from the website.  I also recommend picking up the book "The Complete Walt Disney World/" by Julie and Mike Neal.  It's a perfect book for first time visitors, as it is full of information without being overwhelming.  It's also a beautiful book full of color photographs.  It will give you a good idea of everything there is to do at Walt Disney World.

Since you know when you want to go, the next step is to chose a resort.  It will still be warm enough to swim (generally speaking) and in fact the water parks are heated at Walt Disney World.  Thus you might want to pick a resort with a great pool for teenagers.  The best pool on property is at the Beach Club and Yacht Club:  Stormalong Bay, a sand bottom pool with a super long and tall water slide, as well as a lazy river, and a sand island for younger children.  The Animal Kingdom Lodge also has a great pool, followed by Port Orleans Riverside and the Caribbean Beach Resort.

The more thrilling rides at Walt Disney World are at Disney's Animal Kingdom (Expedition Everest) and at Disney's Hollywood Studios.  Your boys may appreciate that.  However, I also recommend visiting the Magic Kingdom, the crown jewel of Walt Disney World.  Most teenagers love Space Mountain, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, and Splash Mountain.

Hopefully this helps!  Write back with more questions!
