I’m planning our first trip to Disney with my 21 month old. We have a really great lightweight umbrella stroller that reclines, would you advise I bring that, or should I bring my uppababy have duty stroller ?

    Hi there, Michelle!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  Guess what?!?!  You are headed to Walt Disney World Resort in just a few short weeks!  This magical trip will hopefully be the first of many magical trips and filled with many memories that will last a lifetime.  Even though your little Mouseketeer won’t remember everything about this trip, you most definitely will, and I am sure you will have more than enough photos to reminisce when your little one is older.

Strollers…I just love the use of a stroller when at the theme parks!  In fact, if I could still strap my boys into one I would, but I think trying to push them through the theme parks would wear me out more than its worth!  There is nothing worse than littles being too tired to walk at the end of a long day and having to carry them back to your hotel.  I really think you will be perfectly fine with either the umbrella stroller OR you larger one as long as it fits within the stroller guidelines.  I think for me it would come down to personal preference – both for you and your little one.  If they will fall asleep in one easier than the other or if they tend to be more comfortable in one over the other, then I would go for that option.  Additionally, you want to consider the additional gear and necessities (including all the souvenirs) that you will need and accumulate throughout the day, so if one has a better storage area and would be more helpful during your day then opt for that!  Just also remember that while you will be able to stroll directly onto the monorail, you will need to collapse the stroller completely for transportation on the buses and boats.

Wishing you a magical and memorable adventure,
    Stephanie
