I'm planning a first time trip to Disney World for my daughter's 5th birthday in April. We are only staying for 4 days and I want to know is it best we get the park hopper passes or not? And also is there a height requirement for all the rides?

    Hi JaShauna!

Congratulations on your FIRST Walt Disney World Resort vacation! You are going to have so much fun and I know your daughter is giddy with excitement. You have asked some great questions and I know that you want to plan the best 5th birthday for her

A first-time visit to Walt Disney World Resort can be overwhelming because there is so much to see and experience. Park Hopping is a great option, but I personally recommend experiencing one theme park per day just so that you can take in all that each theme park has to offer. I want you and your daughter to remember all of the beautiful memories, not the fact that your first vacation was so jam-packed. Also, because you are limited to four days, experiencing one theme park at a time will allow you to also experience other activities outside of the theme parks like Disney Springs, the pool at your resort, or even a character meal or two.

There are hight requirements for many of the Disney World Attractions and Rides, but there are also lots of attractions where height is not an issue. I always suggest checking out the available attractions at each theme park and use the available “filter” feature to see which attractions accommodate your daughter and her current height.

One more thing… The look on her face as she walks into Magic Kingdom Park, for the first time, will be a look you will never forget so be sure to have your camera ready.

Please return should you have any additional questions as you plan your first Walt Disney World Resort vacation. We are here to help.

    Have a magical first-time vacation!
