Hi, I'm planning our first family vacation to Disney World in January. We will be celebrating my daughter's 5th birthday. I'm interested in a dinning suggestion she would love and where we can have a cake delivered. Also any must do activities.

    Hi Elba!

Walt Disney World Resort is the perfect place for a birthday celebration! For your little princess, I think it would be great to enjoy a Character Dining experience and here are some of my favorites:
    • Princess Storybook Dining at Akershus Royal Banquet Hall would be the perfect place to celebrate. The Disney Princesses were so wonderful with my little princes and spent so much time with them taking pictures and chatting. Plus, the food was really fantastic. I could have eaten an entire plate of the cheesy potato casserole!
    • Tusker House Restaurant has a really yummy buffet and you can visit with Donald Duck and friends! Located at Disney's Animal Kingdom, this restaurant is a great place for a fun meal during your park day. My little ones also loved dancing with with their favorite characters and the other kids on a parade through the restaurant.
    • Chef Mickey's Restaurant would be a great place for a celebration with Mickey and his favorite friends! My sons loved to see all of the classic characters and the food was really yummy. I loaded my plate with lobster macaroni and cheese and pierogi...yum!
When you select a restaurant and make reservations, you can add daughter's birthday celebration to the reservation by calling (407) WDW-DINE or (407) 939-3463. You can order a customized birthday cake for your daughter by calling the Cake Hotline at (407) 827-2253. You need to give them at least 72 hours advanced notice so they can add plenty of pixie dust. Be sure to pick up a complimentary Birthday Celebration Button so Cast Members and Guests can join in the celebration too!

    T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
