I'm planning my first ever trip to Disneyland for the first week of June. How many days are recommended for a first trip? I want to try to do as much as I can (although I'm planning on skipping Galaxy's Edge since we have it at WDW).

Hi Diego! Welcome back to planDisney! Thanks so much for sending another question our way.

As someone who loves to visit the magic on both coasts, I'm so excited to hear you're going to have your first-ever vacation at The Happiest Place on Earth! When deciding how many days to visit, I like to plan for at least three days. With three days, you could plan to visit Disneyland Park one day and visit Disney California Adventure Park one day, then choose the park that has the most attractions and entertainment offerings that appeal to you for your third day. You could add the park hopper option to your Theme Park Tickets for more flexibility. You will find that it's much easier to park hop given the very close proximity of the theme parks. You will need to make Theme Park Reservations for all of the dates you plan to visit.

It's so special to know that Walt Disney walked through Disneyland Park and I think you're going to love it. There are many attractions which are unique to Disneyland Resort, such as Mr. Toad's Wild Ride, Alice in WonderlandIncredicoaster, and Guardians of the Galaxy - Mission: BREAKOUT! There will also be some attractions that are different compared to some you have experienced at Walt Disney World. For example, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will have some explosive surprises, and your cruise on "it's a small world" will begin outside!

You can get a complimentary celebration button for your first visit at City Hall on Main Street, U.S.A. in Disneyland Park, or at Guest Services in Disney California Adventure Park. Your visit is also timed perfectly because the 70th Anniversary Celebration will be in full swing! I suggest staying tuned to Disney Parks Blog for the most up-to-date news about the fun festivities! Before you arrive, be sure to download the Disneyland Mobile app to have all of the information you will need about the magic at your fingertips.

Diego, we can't wait for you to be our guest! Please feel free to send your questions to me at planDisney. I would love to help!

    Wishing you magic,
    Lisa
