Welcome to planDisney, Brooke! I'm so glad you're here, and I'm happy to add a bit of extra pixie dust to your FIRST-EVER vacation at
Walt Disney World Resort. It's going to be amazing, so let's talk strategy to make your trip as magical as can be!
First and foremost, I suggest staying at a
Disney Resort Hotel. This always makes me feel snug in the "Disney bubble"! You'll enjoy complimentary transportation around the resort and extra-special perks like
Early Theme Park Entry, when Guests can enter the theme parks 30 minutes early. Next, download the
My Disney Experience app to see all of your plans in one place. You can also make dining reservations, check park hours, and view photos taken in the parks by
Disney PhotoPass photographers.
You can easily spend a full day in each park. Our family tends to wrap up a day at
Disney's Animal Kingdom Theme Park earlier than the other parks, so I suggest splitting that day with
Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Start at Pandora on
Avatar Flight of Passage and enjoy an unforgettable adventure on
Kilimanjaro Safaris. There are also two excellent live shows in the park!
After a break, don your Halloween best and head to
Magic Kingdom Park for the evening festivities. With your party ticket, you can enter starting at 4:00 PM. I highly recommend arriving then so you can get a head start on your spooky evening!
Magic Kingdom has something around every corner! Fly with Peter Pan, meet Characters, and enter the grid on
TRON Lightcyle / Run. There is a LOT to do here, and we usually take a break and leave the park to rest before returning for evening fun and fireworks! You can do another full day here in addition to the party, which will give you some time to explore it all.
At EPCOT, don't miss
Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. Some other must-dos include
Soarin' Around the World and
Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana, but I also recommend exploring the pavilions of World Showcase to enjoy some unique food, shopping, and entertainment.
Brooke, I also suggest you look into eligibility for Disney's
Disability Access Service (DAS). If you have a condition that makes it difficult to wait in long lines, you can schedule a live video chat with a Cast Member between 30 and 2 days before your park visits to register for DAS.
I hope this information is helpful to plan for your September trip! Please stop by planDisney again if we can help with additional questions as your vacation approaches.
See Ya Real Soon!
