Im planning our first Disney vacation this May. I have 2 young children (2.5 years & 11months old) and I'm curious which type of accommodations would be best for us- a family suite or a standard room. For space

    Yipee, Stacy!

It's wonderful to hear from Guests planning their first magical Walt Disney World Resort vacation! I'm so excited for you and thrilled to be able to help you plan your visit.

While the Family Suites are incredible, and who doesn't love having an extra bathroom, you may find that a Standard Room is plenty of space for you and your little ones. As far as affordability, I would recommend a Standard Room at a Moderate Resort over a Family Suite in order for your family to take advantage of the extra resort amenities Moderate Resorts offer. Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter is wonderful and they have an aquatic play area your little ones might love to splash around in. The rooms at Disney's Port Orleans Resort - French Quarter will also offer you the space needed to request a crib or Pack 'n Play for your littlest one. If needed, you could also request bed rails for your toddler. Again, either choice is fantastic, but for your first Disney vacation especially, my recommendation would be to skip the suite and instead choose a Disney Moderate Resort.

Enjoy planning the rest of your magical adventure, Stacy, and if there is anything else I can help you with, please let me know.
