I'm planning our first cruise trip on the disney wish, in October. Which room would you recommend for us. Also, will be spending 2 nights at pop century's resort prior to our cruise departure, is there a shuttle service to the ship.

Vanessa, let me be the first to welcome you to planDisney! I love sailing with Disney Cruise Line because so many things are included in the price – imaginative dining experiences, engaging youth clubs, Broadway-quality entertainment, and relaxing spaces just for adults. I’m happy to help you select the perfect stateroom for your land and sea vacation.

The staterooms on the Disney Wish are beautiful and functional – the nightlight in the bathroom is a great feature! There are five different stateroom categories from which to choose: Inside, Oceanview, Verandah, and Concierge suites. The standard amenities are the same, no matter which category you choose. I like having a verandah for the extra space, especially when my son was little. It was nice having a spot to read while my son napped. On the Disney Cruise Line website, you can price all the categories and see which one works best for your family and budget.

As far as location, I usually like to stay near the elevators. A few months ago, my stateroom on the Disney Wish was located right off the elevators on Deck 8. I was initially concerned that this location would be noisy, but our stateroom was as quiet as a mouse. I also liked that we were close to the Fairy Tale Fresh Laundry, which made ironing our clothes for dinner a breeze. If you’re worried about motion sickness, I recommend a midship cabin on a lower deck. You’ll find that the price varies based on your room location, and lower decks tend to be less expensive, too.

Vanessa, a vacation should be stress-free. Leaving the transportation to Captain Minnie is a great plan! A Disney Reservation Agent can add ground transportation from your resort to the port. You’ll receive an email 24 to 48 hours before embarkation detailing your motorcoach departure time and meeting location. All you have to do is sit back and enjoy the drive. Before you know it, you’ll be on board exploring the ship!

I hope this information was helpful to you as you continue to plan your Disney Cruise Line adventure. If you have more questions as your sailing approaches, please cruise back to us at planDisney. We are always happy to help!
