Hi, I’m planning my FastPass and was wondering if ride swap can be used with a fast pass.

    Hi Alxies!

Thanks for your question. The Rider Switch program offered at Disney World is an excellent feature! It allows Mom and Dad who may have young one's who don't quite meet the height requirement of an attraction the chance to still experience the ride without missing a beat! This was incredibly helpful for our family when our children were toddlers, and showed the thoughtfulness Disney puts into giving everyone a chance to enjoy what their amazing theme parks have to offer!

In reference to your question: Yes! You can use a FastPass in accordance with the Rider Switch. How it would work is the following:

    A. The entire family (including the very young one) approaches the Cast Member at the FastPass attraction entrance, and mention they want to use the Rider Switch program.

    B. The Cast Member will then hand a Rider Switch entitlement to the party waiting back with the child.

    C. The first party (the one getting on the ride first) then scans their FastPass ticket or Disney MagicBand (if FastPass is already reserved and linked through MagicBand) and then enters the attraction through the FastPass line.

    D. Once the first party exits the ride, they will then switch child caretaking, then the second party (using their Rider Switch entitlement) then hands the entitlement to the Cast Member and can enter the ride entrance. In most cases, that second party also goes through the FastPass entrance, but rest assured it will not be the regular stand-by queue.

And what's cool, if you have a family, the second party can enter the attraction with 2 additional guests. Great concept by the wonderful folks at Disney right? :-)

May all your wishes come true when you visit Disney World!
