I'm planning my family vacation to WDW in February 2015 and was thinking of including a character dining experience. I was looking at the Akershus for the Princess dining but I have picky eaters in my group, and not all are children. Is this a good place?

    Hi there, Melinda!

Akershus Royal Banquet Hall is my favorite Princess dining experience in all of Walt Disney World.  I can not recommend it enough.  Although each meal offers traditional Norwegian fare,  there will always be items to satisfy the less adventurous diner.  The menu at lunch and dinner does change from time to time, but there are always things like roasted chicken or mildly seasoned beef.  Children have an American style kids menu to select from.  At breakfast, there is a fabulous buffet with some Norwegian favorites.  In addition, eggs, bacon, sausage, rolls, biscuits, etc. are served family-style at your table.  The inside of the restaurant is charming, and the interaction with the Princesses is really special!

Please let us know if we can help with any other trip planning questions.

Until then, I wish you a truly magical vacation.
