Hi Riesha,
You have certainly come to the right place! Here at the Disney Parks Moms Panel, I enjoy helping others plan their Walt Disney World vacations through my tips and suggestions based on my many years of traveling to this magical place. With a little careful planning and research, I am sure your first Disney trip will be one to remember!
I always recommend coming up with a budget and the dates you would like to travel first. Then, based on those, it is easier to narrow down the resort hotel and ticket options as the next steps. To start, I would suggest you visit the
Ideas and Planning page on the Walt Disney World website. This will give you an opportunity to see the different package options available for your travel party. Then, be sure to look at the
special offers page for possible discounts and/or seasonal offerings. You can often find discounts offered through your local AAA office for members.
Next, planning guides are a simple way to gets lots of information in one place. My go-to travel guide is the Birnbaum's Walt Disney World. This is the official guide for Walt Disney World. It has color photos and descriptions of each attraction, show, restaurant, resort and more. There is also a special section at the beginning with sample budgets and itineraries. Since the Disney Parks are constantly changing and adding new and exciting attractions and shows, and updated guide comes out each fall for the upcoming year. You can find this book sold at most book retailers online or in store.
Once you have determined your travel date, budget and possibly booked a package, or even before, feel free to stop back by with more specific questions or inquiries and we would be happy to assist you further with our must-dos.
