I'm planning a family trip for my stepdaughter's graduation. While I know I can't do anything for 2023 yet, normally I can see general itineraries. When will the Mediterranean itineraries for 2022 come out?

    Ciao Jennifer!

I think you have a brilliant idea on how to celebrate your stepdaughter’s graduation. My daughter graduates in 2023, too! Maybe I should follow your lead and plan a graduation cruise as well.

My dream sailing is exploring the Mediterranean with Captain Mickey at the helm. In fact, we actually had this one booked for last Summer that was sadly cancelled. So I totally understand why you want to know precisely when these 2022 itineraries will be released. Since the Disney Magic will likely start sailing in the Mediterranean in May/June and Disney Cruise Line has traditionally announced these itineraries 15 to 18 months in advance, I’d say it’s prime time for some sort of news on this subject!

The best way to stay in the know about Disney Cruise Line announcements is to follow the Disney Parks Blog and to check back constantly on the Disney Cruise Line website. You will not be alone in checking these websites for any breaking news, especially because the Disney Wish will be joining the fleet in Summer 2022. I expect a lot of people are watching and waiting for new itineraries just like you.

Once you’ve scoped out all the 2022 Mediterranean offerings, you will have a general idea of what the 2023 season will look like. Granted, there will be changes from year to year, but the Mediterranean cruises are very well received, so you can count on Disney Cruise Line to continue to explore the Med for years to come.

One add-on you may want to consider is including a pre- or post-cruise Escape with Adventures by Disney. The two cities that might work with a Mediterranean cruise include Barcelona and Rome. I must say that Rome is even better when you can learn about the culture and history from a guided tour. Guess what? Adventures by Disney vacations feature not one but TWO Adventure Guides.

Jennifer, we hope that your plans for a celebratory cruise come into focus and that the 2022 sailings will have you even more excited about this as a present for your graduate in 2023. Don’t hesitate to come back here at planDisney if we can help you with your planning.

    Bon Voyage!
