Hello! I'm planning a family trip to Disneyland for Thanksgiving. Do you have any suggestions for Thanksgiving dinner at one of the resort hotels? We will have at least one family member with us who does not plan to go into the parks during our visit.

    Welcome back to planDisney, Molly!

I'm thrilled that you'll be spending the Thanksgiving holiday at the Disneyland Resort! So many wonderful memories await you and your family.

In the past, the Disneyland Hotel hosted amazing Thanksgivings feasts in the ballroom. This meal included all the Thanksgiving favorites as well as artisan cheeses, smoked salmon, shrimp, king crab legs, and a plethora of tasty desserts. It hasn't been announced yet if this special meal will return this year, so keep your eye on the Disney Parks Blog for any news about Thanksgiving offerings this fall.

If the Thanksgiving feast isn't an option this year, there are plenty of other ways to enjoy a special family meal on Thanksgiving. Storytellers Cafe, located in Disney's Grand Californian Hotel and Spa, features an incredible buffet for dinner. Some of the offerings include roasted chicken, vegetables, prime rib, potatoes, and the absolutely delectable bread pudding with caramel sauce and crème anglaise for dessert. In the past, they also offered some special seasonal offerings just for Thanksgiving.

Or, how about an Italian feast for your Thanksgiving day meal? Naples Ristorante e Bar is in the Downtown Disney District and is one of my favorite restaurants at the Disneyland Resort. They have some amazing pasta entrees like lasagna and house-made gnocchi as well as the most incredible pizzas that your family can share.

Dining reservations can be made up to 60 days in advance online or on the Disneyland app. I recommend making reservations as soon as you are able as dining options for Thanksgiving tend to fill up fast.

Have a deliciously good time at the Disneyland Resort!
