I'm planning a family one day trip with 12 members of our family to celebrate our son's 1st Bday the first week in May.Any tips or ideas you may suggest? Like the fast pass? Any rides my little one would be able to ride?

    Hi Esperanza,

Traveling with large groups to the Walt Disney World Resort is so much fun, but it requires a bit more planning. I'm very happy you decided to visit the Disney Parks Moms Panel to ask us this question.

Your entire family will absolutely fall in LOVE with the magic of Disney! Since you'll be traveling with your 1-year old son, I recommend reading this excellent Disney Parks Blog entry. Your group can take advantage of the convenience offered by Rider Switch services. Simply go to the entrance of the attraction with your entire group, and ask the Cast Member for a Rider Switch pass. It is also possible to combine Rider Switch with the single-rider line at any attraction offering these convenient services. Also, don't forget you can schedule up to 3 FastPass+ selections in advance, depending on availability, for everyone in your travel party for a single park per day.

To celebrate your son's first birthday, make reservations at a Disney Character Dining location, and order a specialty birthday cake by calling the Cake Ordering Hotline at (407) 827-2253. You may also arrange to surprise him with a room full of personalized treats from Mickey Mouse and his pals. For more information, please call Disney Floral & Gifts at (407) WDW-GIFT (407-939-4438). In short, there are many pixie-dusted options for customizing any special occasion to make your son's first birthday truly unforgettable!
