I'm planning my families WDW trip for next year and am wondering if it would be worth it to go when our 2nd daughter is only 12 months or if it would be much more worth it to wait until she's 1 1/2 . Will we be able to go on the rides with her that young?

    Hi Angela!

We've traveled with small children on many a visit to Walt Disney World (trust me, I'm the 'crazy lady' that took our 7 week old son,) and there are experiences from each visit that I know I'll never forget!  Each age is so different and fun, such wonderful memories!

The great thing about traveling with a child under 3 is that they don't pay park admission!  That's right--no ticket needed for your little one!  Also, children under 3 eat free at buffet and all-you-care-to-eat restaurants.  I don't know about you, but I love free!

Walt Disney built Disneyland for the family to enjoy experiences together, as a family.  Walt Disney World was built on the same foundation: family.  You'll see that there are only a handful of experiences that your little one won't be able to enjoy at her age because of height requirements.  Here's a handy list:

    Magic Kingdom:
    Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
    Splash Mountain
    Space Mountain
    Stitch's Great Escape
Tomorrowland Indy Speedway (will need to ride with an adult so they can operate gas pedal and help steer)
    The Barnstormer
Seven Dwarfs Mine Train (once it is opened)

    Epcot:
    Soarin'
    Mission: Space
    Test Track

    Disney's Hollywood Studios:
    Tower of Terror
    Rock 'n' Roller Coaster
    Star Tours

    Disney's Animal Kingdom:
    Expedition Everest
    Dinosaur
    Primeval Whirl
    Kali River Rapids

You'll be able to enjoy so many things together, as a family!  I say if you can go...GO!

    Have a magical vacation!
