Hi I’m planning to take my entire family to Walt Disney World this up coming Halloween season. We are planning to go to MK Halloween Night.. I’m aware of the MNSSHP event going on but will this mean we won’t be able to watch the regular firework show???

    Hello Susanna,

Thanks for stopping by planDisney with your question. Halloween is a spooktacular time to visit Walt Disney World! There are so many special themed treats and seasonal decor throughout the Walt Disney World Resort Hotels and at all of the theme parks.

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is one of my favorite events. I'm so happy to see it's back this year! From the special shows and parades to trick-or-treating and fireworks, there are delightful surprises everywhere you look.

You mention heading to Magic Kingdom on Halloween Night. If this means you'll be going to Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, you won't get to see the regular Disney Enchantment show. But not to worry, I am sure that Disney's Not-So-Spooky Spectacular this year will be equally amazing. For even more fun, come in costume, and get some fantastic photos of your favorite characters in their Halloween costumes too!

If you aren't attending the Halloween Party, the park will close at 7:00 PM, long before any fireworks will be set off. If this is the case, you may want to try to get a dining reservation at 'Ohana at Disney's Polynesian Resort or California Grill at Disney's Contemporary Resort. At either of these restaurants you'll get a stunning view of Cinderella Castle and the magical fireworks display. They'll even pipe in the soundtrack.

Hope this helps. Have a frightfully magical time planning your vacation!

I took my first trip to Walt Disney World when I was 11 and I have traveled many times since then with all different party sizes. From creating our first itinerary as a honeymooner to later creating magical experiences for our multigenerational family gatherings, every aspect of planning a vacation has been pure joy to me.  Learn More About Diane
