Welcome to planDisney, Shawna! I'm so excited to hear that you're planning your first trip to Walt Disney World. Staying at
Disney's Pop Century Resort is such a fun choice! It's definitely my favorite of the
Value Resorts, and I know you're going to love it too.
It's a great idea to start thinking ahead about transportation. Pop Century is connected to both
EPCOT and
Hollywood Studios by the
Disney Skyliner, which is the sole complimentary transportation option for those two parks. It's super convenient for many guests, but I completely understand your hesitation if you're not a fan of heights. The Skyliner is quick, efficient, and lots of fun, but those gondolas do glide pretty high in the sky.
Since Disney doesn't run buses from Pop Century to EPCOT or Hollywood Studios while the Skyliner is operating, your best alternative would be to use a rideshare service. It's a quick and easy option, and both parks are just a short drive away from Pop Century, so it won't take too long to get where you're going while still staying in your comfort zone.
If you'd prefer not to use rideshare, you could technically take a Disney bus to another park and then transfer to a bus or another form of transportation headed to EPCOT or Hollywood Studios, but that can take quite a bit of extra time, especially first thing in the morning, so a rideshare is definitely your best option if the Skyliner is a definite no for you.
I hope this helps you feel more comfortable about getting around, and please let us know if you have any more questions or if you'd like any more first-timer tips!
