Hi, Lisa!
If you’re looking for a time to visit the
Disneyland Resort when it’s less busy, I suggest from September (after Labor Day) through mid-October. Not only are crowds lighter (especially on weekdays), but hotel prices are often lower as well. Do keep in mind that park hours may be shorter and there can be more attraction closures due to refurbishment than during times of peak attendance, but it should be easier to experience most of your “must-do” attractions, shows and meals due to smaller queues and fewer Guests visiting the parks. The high temperatures in Anaheim in September are typically in the low- to mid-80s, with evenings in the mid-60s.
November can also be a great time to visit because the entertainment schedule is in full swing most of the month and holiday decorations and other seasonal extras begin appearing around the resort. The holiday decor is gradually added at night when the parks are closed and is largely complete by mid-November, with the exception of the Haunted Mansion Holiday attraction overlay, which is complete around late-September. In November, the high temperatures are usually in the mid-70s with evenings in the mid-50s. However, crowds may be heavier, especially when schools are on break.
I hope this helps, Lisa. For the
park hours and schedule, check the Disneyland Resort website or contact Disneyland Resort Guest Information at (714) 781-4565 before arriving so you can plan your days accordingly. Please feel free to ask me any other questions you may have as you continue to plan your pixie-dusted vacation!
Wishing you magic,
Courtney
