Hi there, Myra! Welcome to
planDisney, and thank you so much for bringing us your question!
Unfortunately, I do have to let you know that––as per the
Disneyland Resort Dress Code––Guests over 14 years of age are not allowed to wear costumes during normal operating hours. Sadly, this means that you will not be able to dress up if you're not attending
Oogie Boogie Bash – A Disney Halloween Party.
Myra, I understand that this wasn't the news you were expecting to hear, but I do have a suggestion for you! Even though you won't be able to wear a full costume in order to avoid breaking the rules and being turned away at the entrance, you're welcome to channel your favorite Disney characters by
"DisneyBounding". In general terms, DisneyBounding is a fashion trend that makes you look like a Disney character without completely dressing up as them. For example, you could wear blue overalls, a white shirt, and black flats to channel Belle, or yellow jeans and a red shirt to channel Winnie the Pooh. I love to honor a different Disney character on each one of my vacation days!
If you decide that you'd like to DisneyBound, I suggest planning your outfits in advance by researching different options on Pinterest, Instagram, and Google. There are thousands of amazing ideas out there! Once your outfits are ready to go, I also encourage you to purchase the
Disney Genie+ Service for your vacation. This is because the service includes unlimited Disney PhotoPass downloads, so you can take as many pictures as you'd like and share your unique style with your loved ones back home!
I hope that you have tons of fun planning your DisneyBounding outfits, Myra. If you have any other questions, please feel free to reach back out to us! We're always available and more than happy to help.
Warm hugs,
Ana Paula
