I'm planning a Disney World Vacation for January 2023. Will I need to have a theme park ticket for the park I want to dine in? (ie: Can I make dining reservations and only attend the restaurant?)

    Hello, Jennifer!

Welcome to planDisney! I am thrilled to hear that you are planning to visit the Walt Disney World Resort in January! The 50th Anniversary Celebration will still be going strong and you will be able to enjoy Disney Enchantment before the end of its 18-month run. This nighttime spectacular was created exclusively for the celebration. It features breathtaking fireworks combined with projections on Cinderella Castle and cascading down the buildings on Main Street U.S.A. You can catch this show in the Magic Kingdom, shown most nights, but subject to change.

Dining at Disney is a great way to explore new restaurants and resorts during a trip to the Walt Disney World Resort. Guests with Advanced Dining Reservations to dining locations in a Disney Theme Park will each need a valid theme park ticket and Park Pass Reservation to enter the park. An Advanced Dining Reservation does not guarantee park entry.

If you have already purchased your tickets and made your Park Pass Reservations, you can change them once you make your Advanced Dining Reservations and know which parks you will be visiting in your itinerary. The only restaurants that will not require a ticket are those located within Disney Resorts Collection Hotels or Disney Springs.

Remember, you can make your Advanced Dining Reservations online starting at 6:00 AM Eastern Time, 60 days prior to your arrival date. If you are a Guest of a Disney Resorts Collection Hotel, you can make your dining reservations for your entire stay on that date.

There are quite a few locations offering entrees, desserts, and cocktails listed on the 50th Anniversary Sips and Bites Guide. This handy go-to guide can be found in the My Disney Experience Mobile app. The specialty items offered in this guide will only be available during the 50th Anniversary Celebration. Then they will disappear like magic.

    See ya real soon,
    Andrea
