Im planning my Disney vacation for October of this year (2011), Im wondering what the weather is normally like around this time? So I will know how to pack and if I should or shouldn't get the water park tickets?

    Hi Tori!
You have picked an awesome time of year to come...not just because of the weather, but because Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party will be in full swing and should not be missed.
Anyway, as to weather, if you can come later in October as opposed to earlier, the weather makes a noticeable change (almost as if it is done by switch). I have been in early October (Columbus Day Weekend) and the weather was muggy, humid and hot with temps in the high 80s and low 90s every day. There were also pop-up thunderstorms every day. Conversely, I have been in late October and had weather where the days were dry, sunny and mild in the high 70s and low 80s. Either way, I would prepare to experience some heat and possibly some humidity. With all of this in mind, clearly your money will be well spent on a water park, too.
I do not want to give the impression that it is going to be miserable in October...quite the contrary, it is one of my favorite times of year to go. However, if possible I would simply go later in the month.
I hope this helps and I wish you a Magical vacation this fall!! :)
