I’m planning my Disney vacation and I’m wondering if would be possible to watch Fantasmic! at HS and then still enjoy Extended hours on Epcot? I don’t know how long the commute for one park to another should take. Thank you for your help planning

Hey there, Louise Karen. Welcome back to planDisney! It's always awesome to see a fellow Canadian and Ontarian here with us. I know you are anxious to see if you will be able to enjoy the fantastic Extended Evening Theme Park Hours at EPCOT. Based on my experience, I believe that you will be able to. So, let's dive into it together and figure out all the details.

There are several ways to get from Disney's Hollywood Studios to EPCOT, including walking. I'm a pretty fast walker, and it usually takes me about 20-25 minutes. To get to EPCOT, just follow the walkway past the bus boarding area, then keep going along the sidewalk by Crescent Lake until you reach Disney's Boardwalk Resort. From there, you can take a leisurely stroll along the boardwalk until you reach the International Gateway entrance. I took this walk frequently during my International College Program and often went to the World Showcase after work to enjoy some delicious food.

If you're not up for a walk, the Disney Skyliner is the perfect way to get around. Keep in mind that there's no direct line to EPCOT, so you'll need to stop at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort and switch lines before reaching your final destination. This is the most fun way to travel between the two theme parks, and you should be able to do it in less than 35 minutes.

If you have a clear night, the Friendship Boats are definitely worth checking out! They depart every 20 minutes, and you'll need several stops along the way, including the Swan and Dolphin Resort, Disney's Yacht and Beach Club Resort, and Disney's Boardwalk Resort, before finally arriving at EPCOT's International Gateway entrance. The journey usually takes around 40-45 minutes and is sure to be one of the highlights of your trip.

If you ever find yourself in a hurry, you can always use the Minnie Vans available on the Lyft app. While they may not be the most affordable option, they are undoubtedly the most luxurious and stylish. On a good night, a Minnie Van can take you from one gate to another in less than 20 minutes.

Louise Karen, no matter which way you decide to get there, I know you're going to have an absolutely magical time at both theme parks. Oh, and listen up - I've got a secret insider tip for you! On those nights that have Extended Evening Theme Park Hours at EPCOT, you can totally request to join the virtual queue for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind (which, by the way, is the best rollercoaster ever built by humankind) starting at 6:00 PM. This is an experience you definitely will want to experience!

If you have any questions about your trip, don't hesitate to stop by and send us a message. We'd love to help you plan your adventures!

    Cheers
