So I’m planning on going a Disney trip with my friends within the month but i lost wallet recently and i don’t have ID or license. Will this affect my visit? Should i reschedule?

Hi there, Jonathan. Welcome to planDisney!

I’m sorry to hear you lost your wallet recently. What a bummer and it can be such a hassle to replace your license and various bank cards. However, I want to reassure you that it’s generally not mandatory to provide identification for entry to Disneyland Resort with standard theme park tickets. An exception will be if you are trying to activate an Imagine Magic Key, since you’ll need to show proof that you are a Southern California resident living in specific zip codes. There are also special offer tickets, such as the multi-day Disney Military Promotional Park Hopper Ticket, that will require you to show valid identification.

Another area you may be asked to show your ID for proof of age is if you intend to purchase alcoholic beverages. Oga’s Cantina, Blue Bayou Restaurant, Lamplight Lounge, and Pym Tasting Lab are some of my favorite places to get fun, adult drinks. Even if you choose to mobile order at participating locations, you may be asked to present a valid ID when picking up your drinks.

Other than the exceptions mentioned above, you should be able to visit the Happiest Place on Earth without a hitch. I wish you and your friends a magical time on your upcoming trip! If you have more questions for us, please don’t hesitate to visit us on planDisney again.

    Sending you pixie dust,
    Kiki

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

Greetings! I have been fascinated by the magic of Disney since I was a little girl; now that I am a mother of two, I love watching my children experience Disney Parks through their own eyes. I am also surrounded by fellow Disney-loving nurse friends whom I enjoy quick adults-only Disneyland Resort escapes or Disney Cruise Line voyages with. Whether you are planning your once-in-a-lifetime family trip or a short adults-only getaway to the Happiest Place on Earth, I am here to help!
