Hello there Mary and thank you for visiting planDisney with your question! I'd love to help you figure out the best choice for you as you combine two wonderful destinations into a dream trip
Disney Vacation by Land and Sea!
I often find myself in the same boat as you, looking to extend my time in Orlando with an extra visit to the
Walt Disney World Resort either before or after a cruise. Some argue that it's better to visit Walt Disney World prior to a cruise and I often argue that a visit after a cruise is the best remedy to the sadness of bidding farewell to the
Disney Cruise Line, but I think that you have the best idea of all by doing BOTH!
I dug a little deeper into the timing of your proposed park visit and found out that a three-day ticket to Walt Disney World would no longer be valid after your initial two days in the parks and the three-nights on your Disney Cruise. The three-day tickets can be used during a five-day period only. If you'd like to stick with your original plan, you would need to purchase a two-day ticket to use prior to your Disney Cruise, and a separate one-day ticket for the day that you would like to visit Walt Disney World after your cruise has concluded.
Alternatively, you may be interested in purchasing a four-day ticket to Walt Disney
World with a longer ticket validation period of seven days. That would give you an extra day to visit your favorite park, or a chance to see all four parks, if it suits your schedule.
With
so much to see and do at sea onboard the Disney Cruise Line and on land during
Walt Disney World's 50th Anniversary Celebration, this vacation is sure to be extraordinary!
Mary, please cruise back to us if we can be of any further assistance to you as you chart a course for adventure!
Happy Planning,
Adrianna
