Season’s greetings, Evalyn!
Thanks for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. As a parent of children with Autism myself, I understand your concern. Our children on the spectrum have adapted over the years. But when we first started taking them to the Disneyland Resort, waiting in lines was a challenge for them and for guests around us. Thankfully, the Disneyland Resort is so wonderful with
accommodations for guests with disabilities. That includes
guests with cognitive disabilities. Guests whose disability prevents them from waiting in a typical attraction queue may be eligible to use the Disneyland Resort
Disability Access Service. This service allows a guest with a qualifying disability and his or her party to be assigned a return time based on an attraction’s current estimated wait time in the standard queue. The guests may then wait for their return time in a quiet area of the park or may experience
dining,
shopping, or other
activities and
attractions while they wait. To see if Disability Access Service is right for you, visit a Cast Member at one of the
Guest Relations locations in the parks.
I’m so happy you will be visiting during the
Holidays at the Disneyland Resort. My heart is filled with joy as I see the beautiful
holiday décor throughout the resort. Some of my favorite things to experience during the Holidays are the
Holiday-themed attractions. My absolute favorite? That’s
"it's a small world" Holiday. Don’t miss the amazing
lighting of the "it's a small world" façade. And my favorite land to visit is
Cars Land. It’s so fun to celebrate the “haul”-idays with our friends Lightning McQueen, Mater, and more.
Have a magical time at the Merriest Place on Earth, Evalyn!
